Pippins do not make a promise like Guides and Brownies, but they do have a motto:
Pippins care and Pippins share
Pippins are the youngest section of GirlGuiding New Zealand. This exciting "new" section was launched in 1984. The name Pippin and the emblem - an apple - recognises the assistance GirlGuiding New Zealand received from ENZA (the former Apple and Pear Marketing Board). In Wellington - and possibly all around the country Apple trees were planted to mark the occasion. In our district we currently have two Pippin units. Pippins have lots of fun at their meetings each week.

There are 14 of us, most of us have been at Pippins since the middle of last year, but we have some new friends coming to join us too. We have one leader and usually have an older Guide to help plus a parent or two each week on a roster. We have lots of fun every week.
There are 9 of us, our unit just reopened at the beginning of term two and we have been having fun learning about Pippins. We have done some fun things like go for a walk in the dark, have a Princess party and a Spider day. Some of our friends are going to join next term. We have one leader and a Ranger who plan all the activities for us.
There are some new photos from the Pippin Circus day (a Wellington Region event for Pippins) on our photo page.
